The countryside of south Portugal is gorgeous and couldn´t be more peaceful than exploring it on horses. The riding takes place 15minutes just outside of Lagos in a lovely area of nothing but villages and nature. Riding horses at the beach is illeagal in the Algarve, but either way, its just such a nice feeling of freedom to ride in pure nature.

We specifically choose to work with a tour operator that is also an animal rescue center, therefor truly cares about the animals well being. They make sure the horses receive the right medical care, that they are not overworked and most important, being loved. The farm is lovely to just visit alone but riding these precious animals is a very special experience.
